Motorbike Touring in one of the largest and least populated provinces in Thailand and with the highest density of natural forests in Thailand this motorbike tour will take you on a fantastic motorcycle adventure where mainstream tourists rarely venture.  6 days, 5 nights including 4 jam packed days riding and 2 nights either side of the riding to allow for your arrival and departure.  Covering approximately 700 kilometers of adventure dual terrain this tour is suited to fit and energetic riders with a thirst for adventure.

Keeping with our style of riding where the urge takes us we throw away stuffy itineraries and concentrate on regions where tourist buses cannot go.  Your tour leader has over 10 years motorbiking experience in this region which is not only his riding playground but the mountains you will be riding  also serves as his home so, choosing suitable trails is easy part, the only restraint is your sense of adventure!

Lush forests within the Shan Appalachians making up part of the sub Himalayan mountain range is our destination where we ride to undisturbed hill tribe villages through awesome scenery via single track trails,  a multitude of mountain passes and maybe the odd river crossing or two to cool us down.  Each route is individually chosen on the fly to take into consideration your motorcycle riding experience and ability however,  in true Motorbike Thailand style don't be surprised if we take you out of your perceived comfort zone once in a while!  At the end of the day a holiday is about doing things you have never done before right?

Providing we are given the go ahead by the Thai and Shan State Army this trip often includes a ride into no-mans land (Tai Yai) between Thailand and Burma to visit a refugee school for Burmese children.  The ride on this day may push the boundaries a little for inexperienced off road riders but worth every river crossing and single track trail thrown at you.  Usually we ask our customers to donate shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes and soap to the refugees which is always a great experience.

Our Thailand motorbike tours are true adventure tours concentrating on the journey rather than the destination, in fact one customer described them as "more like an expedition than a motorbike holiday"!  As this tour takes us away from main stream civilization over terrain suitable more for two wheels rather than four it is impracticable for us to take a support vehicle therefore luggage for the trip must be kept at a minimum and we provide a special 30 litre waterproof compression pack which will hold more than enough clothing, toiletries and personal items while on this motorbike tour.  Any excess baggage can be stored safely in our Chiang Mai hotel until your arrival back into the city.

As with all our Dual Terrain bike tours we gauge the off road to suit the groups ability on the fly and every group will have a maximum of 6 riders all with comparable riding experience (we never operate a tour with riders of vastly different experience).  If you have never ridden off road before this is not a problem but you must have good on road riding experience and able to handle a bike with ease! our team are there to assist and offer riding techniques along the way for less experienced dirt riders.
