Here's something that will annoy some motorbike tour companies and maybe a surprise statement coming from a motorbike tour company...This road is one of the top motorcycle routes in the world and one of the most documented routes in Thailand and in our opinion you do not need a motorbike tour company to ride this road!  If you are going to use a tour company choose a tour where the local knowledge of the tour company comes in to play, where they can actually take you off the beaten track and utilize their local knowledge to the full! 

If you want to only stay on the black top just rent a bike of your choice grab a map and most maps document all the tourists attractions such as elephant treks, waterfalls, accommodation. Just follow route 1095 and route 108 and you cant go wrong!

In many peoples opinion riding the Mae Hong Son loop and not venturing off the black top into the vast jungles and mountains along the roads edge is like going to Egypt and not visiting the Pyramids.  All of our Motorbike tours include the Mae Hong Son loop at some point however, we choose to ride into the jungles way off the beaten track for most of the time and although you may be thinking that you do not have the experience to ride off road keep looking through our website....Many of our past customers had little or no off road riding experience before they came with us but all of them got to see regions only accessible by dirt bike.  Take a look at our off road training tour operating around the Loop and if you fancy a little more adventure to your holiday speak to us before you decide.

As of August 2010 motorbike Thailand offer many packages to ride this route...

Package 1 (Self Guided)

Tell us how many days you want to ride and we will put a package together for you including motorbike rental, Map, and information regarding tourist attractions and we can even book your accommodation for you along the route!  Whats more we will even give you a local telephone sim card with contact numbers just in case you have a problem along the way!  Cost for this service is 2900 Thai baht for touring information up to 5 days plus motorbike hire!

Package 2 (Rental Only)

Rent the bike of your choice from 900 Thai baht per day from us and you do the rest!

Package 3 (groups of 2 -6 persons)

If you are coming with a larger group and feel you need the back up of an experienced guide why not hire one of our guides?  We will rent you the bikes and supply an experienced riding guide to accompany you along the route.  Cost for one of our guides is 4600 Thai baht per day.
